Vanessa Santos has orchestrated media campaigns for a wide variety of clients, from advocacy groups to bestselling authors. Her efforts have helped individuals and organizations, from nonprofits to leading corporations, expand their media footprint and drive national and global conversations. She regularly secures client coverage in major broadcast and print outlets.
Vanessa has worked in the public relations and media sphere for over ten years. She was the Director of Media Relations for Javelin, where her planning and implementation of book rollout strategies helped make Javelin an industry leader in literary promotion, propelling numerous titles on The New York Times bestseller list. As the Director of Strategy and Public relations for District Media Group, she secured coverage for clients in major media markets across the political spectrum. Now, as the CEO of Renegade DC, she brings her years of experience and expertise in a wide variety of boutique strategic communications services to her clients.
Vanessa is originally from Michigan, and earned her BS degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Central Michigan University. She moved to Washington in 2012 to work in media. Vanessa lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her family and rescue dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing recreational soccer, watching the opposite ends of the streaming spectrum – classic film and reality TV — and scrolling through Twitter, where you're welcome to follow her here.
Isabelle is the Director of Booking at Renegade DC. She oversees a diverse portfolio of clients and secures broadcast and print coverage for them across the media spectrum. Since joining Renegade DC, Isabelle has executed publicity campaigns for best-selling authors, high-profile political and cultural figures, and specialized client events.
Previously, Isabelle worked in the FreedomWorks press shop where she focused on earned media and oped development. She graduated from the Catholic University of America with a B.A. in English Literature and is currently an M.A. candidate at Hillsdale’s Van Andel School of Government. Though Isabelle calls D.C. home, she is a proud Philadelphia native, for better or for worse. In her free time, you can find her reading, trying out new recipes, or planning the next excursion out of town with friends.
Katrina Hutchins is the digital strategist for Renegade DC. In this role, she helps coordinate and implement social media strategies for Renegade’s clients. Katrina brings years of media savvy to Renegade DC, having worked previously as a video editor and print editor for The Daily Caller News Foundation and as a producer for FreedomWorks’ Newsmax show, Save the Nation. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a double major in Religious Studies and Digital Communications. She lives in Arlington with her family and two cats. She enjoys reading and watching movies, everything from Fellini to Twilight.
